Refund Policy

ChingamMatrimony currently charges a one-time registration fee (see our Pricing page for the current amount) — an introductory launch price — collected via PhonePe (Payment Gateway). This fee is non-refundable except during the 5-day cooling-off period described below. Please read this policy carefully before completing your payment.

1. Registration Fee

The registration fee is a one-time charge collected via PhonePe (Payment Gateway) to create and activate your profile on ChingamMatrimony. It covers the cost of manual profile verification, platform maintenance, and ongoing operational expenses.

This fee is charged once per account and does not renew. There are no monthly subscriptions or hidden charges at this time.

2. Non-Refundable Policy

Outside the 5-day cooling-off period, the registration fee is non-refundable once payment has been received, including but not limited to the following situations:

  • Your profile is rejected during the approval process.
  • You choose to close or deactivate your account.
  • You do not find a suitable match.
  • You violate our Terms & Conditions and your account is suspended or permanently removed.
  • You registered by mistake or changed your mind after the 5-day cooling-off period has expired.
  • You are inactive or stop using the platform.

3. 5-Day Cooling-Off Period

If you change your mind after payment, you may request a full refund within 5 days of your payment date. This is a one-time option — it cannot be used more than once per email address.

What happens when a cooling-off refund is approved:

  • Your account will be deactivated immediately upon refund approval — your profile will no longer be visible or active on the platform.
  • Your login credentials (email and password) are retained under all circumstances — your account is not deleted.
  • You may reactivate your account at any time by paying the registration fee again at the current rate applicable at that time.

To request a cooling-off refund, email [email protected] within 5 days of payment with your registered email address and proof of payment. If approved, the refund will be credited back to your original payment source through PhonePe (Payment Gateway) within 5–7 business days.

4. Exceptional Circumstances

A refund may be considered only in the following cases:

  • Duplicate payment: You were charged more than once for the same registration due to a technical error. In this case, only the duplicate amount will be refunded — the original registration fee remains non-refundable.
  • Payment received but account not activated: You successfully completed payment but your account was never created or activated due to a technical failure on our end, and the issue cannot be resolved.

Refund requests under exceptional circumstances must be raised within 14 days of the payment date. Requests submitted after this window will not be entertained.

5. How to Request a Refund

If you believe you qualify for a refund under the exceptional circumstances listed above, please email us at [email protected] with:

  • Your registered email address.
  • Proof of payment (screenshot or transaction ID).
  • A brief description of the issue.

We will acknowledge your request within 48 hours and aim to resolve it within 7 business days. If a refund is approved, it will be initiated back to the original payment method via PhonePe (Payment Gateway) and credited within 5–7 business days depending on your bank or payment provider.

6. Future Paid Features

ChingamMatrimony may introduce optional paid features or subscription plans in the future. If and when we do, a separate refund policy specific to those features will be published and clearly communicated before purchase. This policy applies only to the current registration fee.

7. Voluntary Donations

ChingamMatrimony accepts voluntary donations from members of the public to support platform operations. Donations are entirely optional and are not required to access any feature of the platform.

Donations are strictly non-refundable. When you make a donation, you acknowledge that:

  • No goods, services, or platform benefits are provided in exchange for a donation.
  • The 5-day cooling-off period described in Section 3 does not apply to donations.
  • Duplicate payment exceptions (Section 4) apply — if you were charged more than once for the same transaction due to a technical error, the duplicate amount will be refunded.
  • Refund requests for voluntary donations will not be entertained except in the case of a verified technical duplicate charge.

To report a duplicate donation charge, email [email protected] with your transaction ID within 14 days of the payment date.
