Terms & Conditions

By registering on or using ChingamMatrimony, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them — they explain your rights and responsibilities as a member. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform.

1. Who Can Join

You can join ChingamMatrimony if:

• You are at least 18 years old (females) or 21 years old (males), in line with Indian matrimonial law.
• You belong to the Hindu communities this platform serves.
• You are legally eligible to marry under Indian law.
• Your only purpose is finding a life partner for marriage.
• You are honest about your current marital status.
• Everything you tell us about yourself is true, complete, and up to date.

If any of the above isn't true for you, please do not register.

2. Your Account & Security

You are responsible for:

• Keeping your password private and not sharing it with anyone.
• Everything that happens under your account, whether or not you authorized it.
• Telling us immediately at [email protected] if someone accesses your account without your permission.

All profiles go through admin review before going live. We can reject or suspend accounts with inaccurate or misleading information. You must verify your email address before you can log in.

3. Membership & Free Trial

Registration and profile submission on ChingamMatrimony are completely free. Once our admin team approves your profile, it goes live and becomes searchable immediately, and you get a 24-hour free trial — no payment required during this time.

• Membership on ChingamMatrimony runs in 6-month cycles. During or after your 24-hour free trial, you pay a membership fee for your category — shown on our Pricing page — to activate your 6-month membership.
• If 24 hours pass after approval without payment, your account moves to the free plan. Your profile remains listed and visible to other members. On the free plan, you browse with real names but photos and full profiles are locked, and you can see how many people are interested in you but not who they are. You can log in, edit your profile, and pay at any time to unlock full access.
• Introductory pricing: Current fees may include limited-time launch pricing. We reserve the right to change fees for new sign-ups or future renewal cycles at any time with prior notice. Any change will be reflected on the Pricing page before it takes effect.

4. UPI Autopay Mandate & Recurring Payments

When you pay your membership fee, you will be asked to set up a UPI Autopay mandate — a recurring payment authorization on your UPI account — to cover your ongoing membership on ChingamMatrimony. By setting up this mandate, you authorize us to debit your UPI account as described below, in accordance with applicable RBI e-mandate regulations.

What gets debited and when:

• Renewal debits: The same mandate is reused every 6 months to renew your membership. Each renewal debit is for your category's full membership fee, as shown on the Pricing page at the time of renewal.
• Per-cycle cap: Each renewal debit under the mandate is capped at your category's membership fee for that cycle. We will never debit more than this capped amount in a single cycle without your separate, explicit consent.

Notifications: As required for UPI Autopay / e-mandate transactions, you will receive advance notification before each debit through your bank or UPI app, in addition to any email notifications we send.

How to cancel your mandate: You can cancel your UPI Autopay mandate at any time through:

• Your bank's net banking portal or your UPI app (under "Manage Mandates" or "Autopay"), or
• Contacting us at [email protected] to request account deactivation.

What happens if the mandate is cancelled, expires, or a renewal payment fails: Your account remains active, your data is retained, and your profile stays listed and visible to other members. Your account simply moves to the free plan, where you browse with real names but photos and full profiles are locked. Completing the renewal payment unlocks full access again at any time.

5. Profile Approval

New profiles and major changes — like your name, gender, caste, or date of birth — need admin approval before other members can see them. While your profile is under review:

• It won't appear in search results.
• You won't be able to view other profiles (unless an admin grants you early access).
• Small updates like your biography or education details go live immediately without re-approval.

If your profile is rejected, we'll email you the reason and you can correct and resubmit.

6. How to Use the Platform

Use ChingamMatrimony honestly and respectfully. You must not:

• Post fake, offensive, or misleading information in your profile.
• Pretend to be someone else or lie about your age, gender, caste, or marital status.
• Create more than one account for yourself.
• Use the platform for anything other than finding a marriage partner — no business promotions, spam, or advertising.
• Misuse contact information you receive through the interest flow.
• Harass, threaten, or disrespect any other member.
• Try to bypass our security, privacy controls, or rate limits.
• Use bots or automated tools to interact with the platform.

7. Expressing Interest & Contact Sharing

The "Express Interest" feature works like this:

• You can send an interest request to any approved member of the opposite gender.
• Phone number and home address are only unlocked after one of you sends an interest and the other accepts it — both parties can then see each other's contact details.
• Using any other method to get a member's contact information is a serious violation and may result in your account being permanently banned.
• Successful marriages may be anonymously recorded by our admin team for platform statistics — with no personal details attached.

8. Your Photos & Content

You own your photos and profile information. By uploading them, you give ChingamMatrimony permission to store and show them to other registered members for matchmaking purposes only. This permission ends when you delete your account or remove the content.

You confirm that you own or have the right to use everything you upload, and that it doesn't infringe on anyone else's rights.

9. Photo Rules

Profile photos must:

• Clearly show your face and be a recent, real photo of you.
• Not contain explicit, obscene, or inappropriate content.
• Not be stock images, celebrity photos, or photos of someone else.
• Not include phone numbers, watermarks, or advertisements.

Photos that break these rules will result in profile rejection or account suspension.

10. Privacy

Your use of ChingamMatrimony is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms. By agreeing to these Terms, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.

11. When We May Suspend or Remove Your Account

We can suspend or permanently close your account — without prior notice — if you:

• Provided false information when registering or in your profile.
• Violated any of these Terms & Conditions.
• Behaved abusively, offensively, or harmfully toward other members.
• Did anything that puts the platform's security or integrity at risk.

When an account is closed, access ends immediately. Your data may be kept in a hidden "soft deleted" state for administrative record-keeping, or permanently deleted on request, subject to legal requirements.

12. Our Liability

ChingamMatrimony is a platform for introductions within the community. We:

• Do not guarantee that every detail in a member's profile is accurate.
• Are not responsible for how members behave on or off the platform.
• Cannot promise that any connection made here will lead to marriage.
• Are not liable for any loss or harm arising from interactions between members.

You are responsible for using your own judgment when meeting or communicating with any match. Please exercise caution.

13. Intellectual Property

Everything on ChingamMatrimony that isn't your own content — including the website design, logo, written content, and code — belongs to ChingamMatrimony. You may not copy, reproduce, or reuse any part of it without our written permission.

14. Inactive Accounts

If your account has had no login activity for more than 24 months (2 years), we may send you an email notification. If you don't respond or log in within 30 days of that notice, we may deactivate your profile. You can reactivate at any time by contacting us at [email protected].

15. Grievance Officer

If you have a complaint, concern, or dispute about your experience on ChingamMatrimony, you can contact our Grievance Officer:

• Response: We aim to acknowledge within 48 hours and resolve within 30 days.

This is provided in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

16. No Guarantees

ChingamMatrimony is provided "as is." We don't make any guarantees about uptime or availability. We're not responsible for service interruptions, data loss due to technical failures, or anything outside our reasonable control.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We'll update the "Last Updated" date when we do. For important changes, we may also email you. Continuing to use ChingamMatrimony after a change means you accept the updated Terms. Check this page periodically to stay informed.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be handled by the courts in Kerala, India.
