By registering on or using ChingamMatrimony, you agree to these Terms & Conditions. Please read them — they explain your rights and responsibilities as a member. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform.

1. Who Can Join

You can join ChingamMatrimony if:

• You are at least 18 years old (females) or 21 years old (males), in line with Indian matrimonial law.
• You belong to the Hindu communities this platform serves.
• You are legally eligible to marry under Indian law.
• Your only purpose is finding a life partner for marriage.
• You are honest about your current marital status.
• Everything you tell us about yourself is true, complete, and up to date.

If any of the above isn't true for you, please do not register.

2. Your Account & Security

You are responsible for:

• Keeping your password private and not sharing it with anyone.
• Everything that happens under your account, whether or not you authorized it.
• Telling us immediately at [email protected] if someone accesses your account without your permission.

All profiles go through admin review before going live. We can reject or suspend accounts with inaccurate or misleading information. You must verify your email address before you can log in.

3. Membership Plans

Registering an account and filling in your profile are free. When you submit your profile for review, you choose one of two plans — Free or Premium. There is no trial period and no default: you decide before your profile is submitted.

• Free plan. Your profile is sent for admin review straight away at no charge. Your profile is listed and visible to other members exactly like a Premium one. What is limited is what you see and do: other members' photos appear as silhouettes, their profile pages are locked, you are told how many people are interested in you but not who they are, and you get 3 connections per rolling 30 days.
• Premium plan. You pay your category's membership fee — shown on our Pricing page — before your profile is sent for admin review. Premium gives you open profile pages, visible photos, the identity of everyone interested in you, and unlimited connections for 6 months.
• Paying does not guarantee approval, and it does not make approval faster. Every profile on either plan is reviewed by a person. If your Premium profile is rejected, your payment is held as credit on your account — correct what the rejection names and resubmit at no extra charge. See our Refund Policy.
• Contact and family details are locked on both plans until the other member accepts your interest. Paying does not buy access to another member's personal information; only their consent does.
• Your 6-month membership period starts when your profile is approved, not when you pay. If review takes a few days, you do not lose those days.
• Introductory pricing: Current fees may include limited-time launch pricing. We reserve the right to change fees for new sign-ups or future renewal cycles at any time with prior notice. Any change will be reflected on the Pricing page before it takes effect.

4. Renewals — Manual, With No Standing Instruction

Membership runs in 6-month cycles and is renewed manually — there is no automatic debit and no standing instruction on your account. We remind you 14 days and 3 days before your membership expires. If you do not renew, nothing is lost and nothing is charged: your account moves automatically to the Free plan. Your profile stays listed and visible to other members exactly as before; only what you can see and do is limited — photos and full profile pages are locked, and you get 3 connections per 30 days. Renew whenever you like to restore Premium access for another 6 months.

We do not hold a recurring payment authorization of any kind. Each payment you make is a single, one-off payment that you start yourself. Nothing on ChingamMatrimony can debit your account without you initiating that specific payment.

If you set up a UPI Autopay mandate with us before this feature was discontinued, that existing instruction is honoured until it expires and is shown on your profile dashboard; you can cancel it at any time through your bank's net banking portal or your UPI app (under "Manage Mandates" or "Autopay"), or by contacting us at [email protected]. No new mandates are created.

5. Profile Approval

New profiles and major changes — like your name, gender, caste, or date of birth — need admin approval before other members can see them. While your profile is under review:

• It won't appear in search results.
• You won't be able to view other profiles (unless an admin grants you early access).
• Only a small set of changes go live without review — your hobbies and interests, your photo privacy setting, and your photo. Every other edit, including corrections to a single field, waits for a reviewer, and your currently approved profile stays live and unchanged until then.

If your profile is rejected, we'll email you the reason and you can correct and resubmit.

6. How to Use the Platform

Use ChingamMatrimony honestly and respectfully. You must not:

• Post fake, offensive, or misleading information in your profile.
• Pretend to be someone else or lie about your age, gender, caste, or marital status.
• Create more than one account for yourself.
• Use the platform for anything other than finding a marriage partner — no business promotions, spam, or advertising.
• Misuse contact information you receive through the interest flow.
• Harass, threaten, or disrespect any other member.
• Try to bypass our security, privacy controls, or rate limits.
• Use bots or automated tools to interact with the platform.

7. Expressing Interest & Contact Sharing

The "Express Interest" feature works like this:

• You can send an interest request to any approved member of the opposite gender.
• Phone number and home address are only unlocked after one of you sends an interest and the other accepts it — both parties can then see each other's contact details.
• Using any other method to get a member's contact information is a serious violation and may result in your account being permanently banned.
• Successful marriages may be anonymously recorded by our admin team for platform statistics — with no personal details attached.

8. Your Photos & Content

You own your photos and profile information. By uploading them, you give ChingamMatrimony permission to store and show them to other registered members for matchmaking purposes only. This permission ends when you delete your account or remove the content.

You confirm that you own or have the right to use everything you upload, and that it doesn't infringe on anyone else's rights.

9. Photo Rules

Profile photos must:

• Clearly show your face and be a recent, real photo of you.
• Not contain explicit, obscene, or inappropriate content.
• Not be stock images, celebrity photos, or photos of someone else.
• Not include phone numbers, watermarks, or advertisements.

Photos that break these rules will result in profile rejection or account suspension.

10. Privacy

Your use of ChingamMatrimony is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is part of these Terms. By agreeing to these Terms, you also agree to the Privacy Policy.

11. When We May Suspend or Remove Your Account

We can suspend or permanently close your account — without prior notice — if you:

• Provided false information when registering or in your profile.
• Violated any of these Terms & Conditions.
• Behaved abusively, offensively, or harmfully toward other members.
• Did anything that puts the platform's security or integrity at risk.

When an account is closed, access ends immediately. Your data may be kept in a hidden "soft deleted" state for administrative record-keeping, or permanently deleted on request, subject to legal requirements.

12. Our Liability

ChingamMatrimony is a platform for introductions within the community. We:

• Do not guarantee that every detail in a member's profile is accurate.
• Are not responsible for how members behave on or off the platform.
• Cannot promise that any connection made here will lead to marriage.
• Are not liable for any loss or harm arising from interactions between members.

You are responsible for using your own judgment when meeting or communicating with any match. Please exercise caution.

13. Intellectual Property

Everything on ChingamMatrimony that isn't your own content — including the website design, logo, written content, and code — belongs to ChingamMatrimony. You may not copy, reproduce, or reuse any part of it without our written permission.

14. Inactive Accounts

If your account has had no login activity for more than 24 months (2 years), we may send you an email notification. If you don't respond or log in within 30 days of that notice, we may deactivate your profile. You can reactivate at any time by contacting us at [email protected].

15. Grievance Officer

If you have a complaint, concern, or dispute about your experience on ChingamMatrimony, you can contact our Grievance Officer:

• Response: We aim to acknowledge within 48 hours and resolve within 30 days.

This is provided in accordance with the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

16. No Guarantees

ChingamMatrimony is provided "as is." We don't make any guarantees about uptime or availability. We're not responsible for service interruptions, data loss due to technical failures, or anything outside our reasonable control.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We'll update the "Last Updated" date when we do. For important changes, we may also email you. Continuing to use ChingamMatrimony after a change means you accept the updated Terms. Check this page periodically to stay informed.

18. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be handled by the courts in Kerala, India.
